By the way, what does “Pando” mean?
Pando is a colony of approximately 40 000 quaking aspen (Populus tremuloides) trees, having the same genetic material. It is located in the state of Utah, United States of America covering 43 hectares. Because of the same genetic material, it’s regarded as a single organism, with an estimated 80 000 years old root system. It’s believed to be the heaviest and one of the oldest organisms on Earth.
